**Engineering Manager (Python) High-Growth AI & Fintech Company**

New York City (5 Days Onsite)

$250,000 to $375,000 Base + Equity

We’re partnering with a venture-backed technology company that’s redefining how businesses manage complex financial operations through AI-powered software.

With significant funding secured, strong product-market fit, and ambitious growth plans, the company is scaling rapidly and looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to help build the next phase of the engineering organisation.

This is an opportunity to lead a team of approximately 20-30 engineers while remaining deeply involved in architecture, technical decision-making, and software development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping engineering processes, hiring strategy, team structure, and delivery standards as the company grows.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and scaling a high-performing engineering team
• Remaining hands-on with coding, architecture, and technical problem-solving
• Defining and implementing engineering processes, performance frameworks, and best practices
• Partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to drive execution
• Supporting large-scale platform and infrastructure initiatives
• Mentoring engineers and developing future technical leaders
• Driving delivery in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong backend engineering background with deep Python expertise
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams from an early stage through periods of rapid growth
• Hands-on technical leadership with continued involvement in coding and software delivery
• Track record of owning products, systems, or platforms end-to-end
• Experience operating within fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and modern cloud infrastructure
• Comfortable managing globally distributed teams across multiple time zones
