Solutions Sales Engineer - Data, Cloud & AI : Snowflake & BigQuery Optimization

Our exciting client is a super-charged VC-backed Data Optimization & Performance vendor. Their Snowflake Optimization Platform automatically consolidates queries and right-sizes data warehouses based on actual workload patterns, empowering Data Teams and Finance to extract maximum value from their Snowflake investment without manual intervention.

They are seeking a high-impact, commercially and technically driven Solutions Sales Engineer based in the US . Preferably with previous experience with The Snowflake or BigQuery Ecosystems.

You will work closely with both prospective & existing customers to drive technical validation and adoption. You will own the technical side of the sales cycle end-to-end : from discovery and demos to POCs and implementation.

You’ll act as the Trusted Technical Advisor , bridging customer business needs with the company’s platform capabilities, and ensuring a smooth path from evaluation to value.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner closely with Sales to identify customer needs and qualify technical fit
• Deliver technical demos and architecture walkthroughs
• Own POCs end-to-end, including scoping, execution, KPIs, and validation
• Support implementations and ensure successful onboarding

Experience:

• Experience in Sales Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Databricks)
• Background in Solutions, Data, or Analytics Engineering
• Strong understanding of warehouse consumption models and cost drivers
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Experience working with mid-market or enterprise customers

Bonus Points:

• FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience
• Familiarity with modern data stacks (ETL/ELT, BI, orchestration)
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of security concepts (RBAC, IAM, data access controls)
