POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sr. Frontier Engineer sits within the enterprise artificial intelligence and innovation department, reports directly to the Head of AI Engineering, and solves critical enterprise automation challenges by building and hardening advanced AI agent harnesses and execution environments for Royal Bank of Canada.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and harden harnesses in Windsurf and Claude Code to establish secure, scalable AI agent and skill execution environments.

• Create robust validation pipelines, policy enforcement mechanisms, and security/compliance gates for enterprise generative AI workflows.

• Design feedback loops for self-healing AI workflows, manage benchmarks, and maintain golden datasets to ensure system reliability.

• Provide auditability and observability across the AI ecosystem while automating testing and conversational-to-production workflows.

• Draft comprehensive solution designs, technical design documents, harness skills, and templates to support complex greenfield and brownfield AI initiatives.
