QA Automation Engineer – AWS Connect (IVR/Dialer)

Location/Schedule: 100% Remote

Contract Term: Through 12/31/2026, with potential extension through 2027; contract-to-hire possibility

Overview

We’re hiring 2 QA Engineers to support testing on an AWS Connect-based contact center platform — one focused on Dialer testing, one on IVR testing. Both roles sit within the QA team validating call routing, dialer, and IVR functionality on AWS Connect.

Responsibilities

• Test dialer and/or IVR functionality on the AWS Connect platform
• Define test strategy, scenarios, and test cases from requirements
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts (GitLab CI automation)
• Execute test cases, log and track defects (JIRA Cloud), and document in Confluence/qTest
• Perform API testing and validation using Postman and SoapUI/ReadyAPI
• Conduct database testing/automation against SQL DB, AWS RDS, and DynamoDB
• Test AWS Connect Lambda functions
• Prepare, submit, and smoke-test test data on dialer platforms
• Collaborate closely with Agile team stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing data on dialer platforms
• Experience building test automation scripts in GitLab
• Experience with API testing/automation tools: Postman, SoapUI/ReadyAPI
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python for test automation, with Cypress and Playwright
• Database testing experience: SQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB
• Strong Linux skills
• Experience with defect tracking and test documentation (JIRA Cloud, qTest, Confluence)
• Strong communication skills; self-driven and proactive in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Genesys Cloud CX Developer certification
• AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• Prior experience testing within an Agile framework
