Product Designer - AI Consulting

We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with 15 product designers for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects pay $80–140 USD per hour, with higher rates for experts with tenure at well-recognized product companies or design studios.

This role includes designing original product design challenges that push past what today’s leading AI models can do, stress-testing those models on them, and grading where their work falls short of a strong product team’s standards.

• Product designers at well-recognized technology companies, from high-growth startups to large consumer and enterprise platforms
• Designers at top-tier product design studios or agencies
• Senior or staff designers who have owned end-to-end features from discovery through shipped product
• Designers with deep experience in design systems, prototyping, or interaction design
• Design leads, managers, or educators who regularly critique and evaluate others’ design work

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent English reading and writing skills
• 3+ years of professional product design experience at reputable companies or studios
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped work across web and/or mobile, with clear articulation of design rationale
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with modern front-end constraints
• Degree from a strong design, HCI, or related university program
