Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer with deep expertise in Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle Database, and front-end web technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications that extend and modernize our existing business systems.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who partners closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and IT leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. This individual will leverage Oracle APEX, Visual Builder, PL/SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and BI Reporting tools to streamline business processes, improve user experience, and provide actionable business insights.

What Will You Do?

• Gather and analyze business requirements, develop technical designs, and provide recommendations for application enhancements and new functionality.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX and Oracle Visual Builder .

• Develop new forms, workflows, dashboards, and user interfaces to extend existing business applications and improve business operations.

• Design and develop Oracle database components, including:

• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Packages
• Views
• Triggers

• Create, enhance, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code to support application functionality and reporting requirements.

• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS .

• Customize APEX applications and user experiences to align with business requirements while maintaining development standards and best practices.

• Design, develop, and support integrations with internal and external systems utilizing REST APIs, web services, and Oracle technologies.

• Build, maintain, and optimize BI Reports , dashboards, and analytical solutions to support operational and strategic decision-making.

• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability and performance.

• Participate in application testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment support.

• Conduct performance tuning for SQL queries, PL/SQL programs, and APEX applications to ensure optimal system performance.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including application designs, database specifications, integration mappings, and deployment procedures.

• Collaborate with business users, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

• Provide production support, technical guidance, and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

• Stay current with Oracle APEX, Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle Database technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise solutions using Oracle APEX .

• Strong experience developing applications using Oracle Visual Builder .

• Advanced proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL .

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database design, development, and performance tuning.

• Experience developing responsive web applications.

• Proven experience designing and supporting BI Reports , dashboards, and reporting solutions.

• Experience integrating applications using REST APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.

• Strong understanding of application development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and deployment processes.

• Experience troubleshooting complex application, database, and performance issues in a production environment.

• Strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
