KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute legal AI, AI governance, or legal engineering strategies
- Translate legal workflows and regulatory requirements into scalable AI solutions
- Build responsible AI policies, controls, and governance frameworks
- Advise leadership on AI opportunities, risks, and organizational readiness
- Partner across Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Data, Privacy, and Security
- Support AI testing, monitoring, documentation, adoption, and regulatory readiness
- Build multidisciplinary teams and deliver measurable business and customer outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior-level experience in legal AI, AI governance, responsible AI, legal engineering, legal technology, compliance, risk, privacy, or digital transformation
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, governing, or advising on AI programs or products
- Strong knowledge of generative AI, legal workflows, AI risk, governance, and emerging regulations
- Ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts for executive, customer, and cross-functional audiences
- Strong business judgment, executive presence, communication skills, and intellectual curiosity
- Experience in a rapidly growing, highly regulated, or technology-driven environment
- JD or relevant advanced degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Legal technology or enterprise SaaS
- Corporate in-house legal or legal operations
- AI governance, compliance, privacy, or risk
- Law firm business development or client-facing experience
- Product, engineering, data, or cross-functional operations
- Hands-on use of AI tools in legal practice
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary: $280,000 to $400,000 annually
- Stock options or equity participation
