Job Description
About Us
Garment Machinery Company, Inc. (GMC) is a third-generation, family-owned commercial laundry equipment distributor founded in 1939, serving all six New England states. We sell and service commercial laundry equipment from Electrolux Professional, Wascomat, and Speed Queen to laundromats, nursing homes, hotels, and hospitals across the region.
About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time lead generation specialist with hands-on experience using Dodge Construction Network (formerly Dodge Data & Analytics / Dodge Reports) to identify new commercial construction and renovation projects in New England — hotels, nursing homes/senior living facilities, and hospitals — that will need commercial laundry equipment.
You’ll research and flag qualifying projects, identify the right decision-makers (owners, GCs, facility managers, architects), and hand off organized, actionable leads to our sales team. This is an ideal role for someone semi-retired from construction industry sales, bid coordination, or business development who already knows the Dodge platform and wants flexible part-time work.
Responsibilities
● Use Dodge Construction Network to identify new-build and renovation projects across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine involving hotels, nursing homes/senior living, and hospitals
● Filter and prioritize projects by stage (planning, bidding, under construction), size, and likelihood of needing commercial laundry equipment
● Identify and document key decision-makers and contacts for each qualifying project (owner, GC, architect, facilities director)
● Compile organized lead lists/reports on a regular cadence (e.g., weekly) for the GMC sales team
● Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of tracked projects and outreach status
● Coordinate with GMC’s sales reps and General Manager of Sales to hand off qualified leads
Qualifications
● Required: Hands-on working experience with Dodge Construction Network (or Dodge Reports/Dodge Data & Analytics)
● Familiarity with commercial construction project stages and terminology
● Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently with minimal supervision
● Experience in construction industry sales, business development, bid coordination, or marketing coordination is a strong plus
● Comfortable with basic spreadsheet/CRM tools for tracking and reporting leads
● Based in or familiar with the New England region preferred
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with a brief note about your experience using Dodge Construction Network and the types of construction projects you’ve tracked.
