This opportunity is ideal for scientists with hands-on laboratory experience and a strong understanding of protein targets, bioactivity assays, and scientific data interpretation. No prior AI experience is required—your scientific expertise is what matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Review scientific publications, patents, and experimental data to verify protein target assignments.
- Validate UniProt protein identifiers and identify discrepancies in biological databases.
- Analyze bioactivity data from sources such as ChEMBL, BindingDB, and related scientific repositories.
- Classify target annotation errors using structured scientific evaluation guidelines.
- Recommend accurate protein target assignments supported by evidence from primary literature.
- Document scientific findings with clear, concise, and evidence-based reasoning.
- Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary research teams to improve AI training datasets for drug discovery.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS with 5+ years of industry experience, MS with 2+ years, or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemical Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CRO, or biomedical research environments.
- Hands-on experience with biochemical or pharmacological assays such as:
- SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance)
- TR-FRET
- Radioligand Binding Assays
- Kinase Assays
- GPCR Functional Assays
- IC50, Ki, or KD analysis
- Strong familiarity with UniProt, target validation, SAR studies, HTS, biochemical profiling, or drug discovery workflows.
