Strategic Consulting Practice (AI Service Line)

The Role

We are building a strategic consulting capability focused on one fundamental question: How do enterprises turn AI and technology investment into measurable business value?

We are looking for a director who can help us answer that question with clients—and help build a differentiated strategic consulting capability around it.

This person will work directly with senior client executives to identify where AI and technology-enabled transformation can materially change business performance, determine what is worth pursuing, shape the path from ambition to execution, and stay connected to the work long enough to ensure that value can be realized.

The role combines executive advisory, business transformation, AI strategy, value creation, and practice building . It requires someone comfortable operating with ambiguity, challenging conventional thinking, creating structure where little exists, and moving fluidly between C-suite conversations and the teams responsible for making change happen.

The Strategic Consulting Practice works closely with Hexaware’s broader enterprise transformation capabilities, helping clients connect strategic priorities to the technology, operating-model, data, AI, and organizational changes required to achieve them.

What You’ll Do

Advise senior executives on where AI and transformation matter

• Work with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, business leaders, and other senior executives to translate enterprise ambitions into clear business choices.
• Identify the business problems, decisions, workflows, customer experiences, and operating-model opportunities where AI and technology can create meaningful value.
• Help clients distinguish between what is technically possible and what is strategically worth doing.
• Facilitate executive conversations that create alignment around priorities, investment, risk, organizational readiness, and outcomes.
• Bring an enterprise perspective to transformation decisions, connecting individual initiatives to broader business priorities.

Shape AI-enabled enterprise transformation

• Frame and structure ambiguous enterprise problems at the intersection of business, technology, data, AI, operating model, and people.
• Develop strategies, transformation roadmaps, value cases, operating models, and executive decision frameworks.
• Connect use cases and technology investments to measurable business outcomes rather than treating deployment as the end goal.
• Help define how work, decisions, processes, and experiences need to change—not simply where technology can be introduced.
• Partner with technology, engineering, data, design, change, industry, and delivery teams to translate strategy into executable transformation.
• Maintain a clear connection between strategic intent and downstream execution.

Build the discipline around value

• Establish clear hypotheses for where value will be created and how it will be measured.
• Define outcome metrics, value baselines, leading indicators, and mechanisms for tracking realized versus projected value.
• Challenge assumptions when the economics, adoption model, organizational readiness, or business case do not support an investment.
• Help clients make explicit decisions to scale, redesign, defer, or stop initiatives based on evidence.
• Keep business outcomes visible throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Lead important client engagements

• Own strategic workstreams and engagements from problem framing through executive recommendation and activation.
• Build trusted relationships with senior clients and become someone they seek out when the answer is not obvious.
