Head of Design

Lawrence Harvey has been engaged by a fast-growing, early-stage fintech company on a position that is critical to the continued development and growth of its product.

They are looking for a Head of Design who will own design across the company, with product design, UI, and UX as the primary focus. This person will work directly with the founders and engineering team to take ambiguous product problems from initial concept through design, prototyping, iteration, and launch.

The successful candidate will be joining a highly collaborative, fast-paced startup environment and will play a key role in defining both what gets built and what the overall product experience looks like.

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage company in a highly hands-on role that offers significant ownership over the product, design function, and what ultimately ships.

The Ideal Candidate has:

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally including experience within a pre-Series B or early-stage startup

• Deep hands-on experience with Figma and strong UI/UX capabilities, with a track record of owning major product experiences from 0 to 1

• Experience operating as a founding, early, or highly autonomous designer and working directly with founders and engineers

• Strong product judgment and versatility across design problems, with Adobe Illustrator, AI tooling, and B2B or B2B2C product experience beneficial
