Azure Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud architecture initiatives and drive large-scale cloud transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, architecting, and modernizing applications on Microsoft Azure while defining cloud strategy, migration roadmaps, and architecture standards across business domains.

The role requires strong expertise in Azure cloud services, application modernization, cloud-native architecture, API strategy, and enterprise architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Define cloud architecture standards, blueprints, and best practices across the enterprise.
• Develop target-state architecture roadmaps aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Lead cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

Cloud Migration & Modernization

• Assess existing applications and recommend migration strategies using the 6R framework.
• Lead migration of legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
• Define modernization approaches for applications, platforms, and integrations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt through cloud adoption.

Solution Architecture

• Provide end-to-end solution architecture for complex business and technology initiatives.
• Design architecture patterns and reusable frameworks for enterprise delivery teams.
• Create architecture documentation, reference models, and implementation roadmaps.
• Guide engineering teams on architecture implementation and technical standards.

Azure Platform Architecture

• Design and implement solutions using Azure services across compute, networking, storage, security, integration, and data platforms.
• Define Azure governance, security, scalability, and operational practices.
• Support enterprise architecture reviews and technical design governance.

Data & Integration Architecture

• Design ETL and data ingestion architectures using Azure services.
• Define data movement, transformation, processing, and distribution strategies.
• Architect API-led integration solutions and enterprise API strategies.
• Support data platform modernization initiatives.

Leadership & Innovation

• Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technology evaluations.
• Prototype new Azure services, cloud tools, and platform capabilities.
• Stay informed on emerging cloud trends and recommend technology adoption opportunities.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to drive technology strategy execution.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams on cloud and solution architecture best practices.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong expertise designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Deep understanding of Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience conducting application assessments and cloud migration planning using 6R methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and solution design principles.
• Experience designing ETL and data ingestion frameworks on Azure.
• Strong understanding of API strategies and integration architectures.
• Experience driving cloud modernization and digital transformation programs.
• Knowledge of security, governance, scalability, and resilience principles on Azure.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
