Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Systems & Network Engineer to join a fast-paced Managed Service Provider environment in Melville, NY.

Previous MSP experience is REQUIRED. Candidates without MSP experience will not be considered.

This role is ideal for a highly technical, hands-on engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure, networking, cloud infrastructure, and advanced troubleshooting. The right candidate must be comfortable supporting multiple client environments, managing escalations, handling complex technical issues, and working efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Level 3 escalation point for complex technical issues
• Design, manage, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Azure environments
• Manage Azure virtual machines, networking, storage, security, identity, and cloud infrastructure
• Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
• Troubleshoot complex network, server, cloud, security, and connectivity issues
• Lead and assist with cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, network deployments, and client projects
• Support multiple client environments simultaneously within an MSP setting
• Provide advanced technical guidance and escalation support to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
• Document client environments, configurations, technical changes, and resolutions
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams
• Prioritize multiple urgent requests and projects in a very fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Must have previous Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience
• Proven Level 3, Senior Systems Engineer, or Senior Network Engineer experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Advanced networking and troubleshooting skills
• Strong experience with firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Azure Active Directory
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting multiple client environments
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications
• VMware and/or Hyper-V experience
• Experience with RMM and PSA platforms
• Experience with backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience leading Azure migrations, Microsoft 365 migrations, network upgrades, and infrastructure projects

Compensation

$120,000–$130,000 per year, depending on experience. Plus Benefits - discussed during interview

This position is primarily based in Melville, NY, with in-office availability strongly preferred. Some hybrid flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
