The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emissions Compliance Program Project Manager who thrives on bringing people together, driving complex initiatives forward, and creating sustainable business processes. In this role, you will play a critical part in leading the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of our emissions compliance program, helping ensure our organization remains compliant while building efficient, scalable processes for the future. Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Service, and global partners you will align priorities, manage program execution, and drive meaningful operational improvements. If you are passionate about continuous improvement, enjoy turning complex challenges into practical solutions, and want to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of emissions compliance initiatives that support long-term operational success.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, project plans, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and regulatory commitments.
  • Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and scope changes, proactively identifying issues and driving solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and working sessions that build alignment, accountability, and momentum.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Planning, Purchasing, Service, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, suppliers, and Toyota Industries Corporation (Japan).
  • Develop and enhance governance processes, project management methodologies, and standard operating procedures that strengthen compliance operations.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), program metrics, and project milestones while providing meaningful reporting and executive updates.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of compliance workflows, systems, and management tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Coordinate stakeholder readiness and training activities related to compliance process improvements.
  • Support resource planning and organizational alignment across North American and Japanese teams.
  • Serve as the primary project management resource for the Emissions Compliance Program, providing recommendations on priorities, governance, and operational improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Management, Regulatory Compliance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, program management, compliance operations, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a regulated manufacturing, engineering, automotive, industrial equipment, or compliance environment.
  • Experience managing project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to influence teams and drive alignment without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, metrics, and executive status updates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.
  • Experience supporting emissions compliance, environmental compliance, or other regulatory programs.
  • Familiarity with EPA, CARB, or similar environmental regulations.
  • Experience implementing workflow management systems, compliance tools, or process automation solutions.
  • Experience leading organizational change management or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating global projects involving North American and Japanese organizations.
