Job Description
Are you passionate about healing our planet? Would you like to play a key role in a top-notch team?
Our nationally-acclaimed design firm seeks a bright, creative Marketer & Garden/Admin Assistant to work directly with our company principals. An ideal fit is someone who is creative, horticulturally savvy, highly efficient, and brilliant with words/marketing/computers. (Eco-minded marketers or aspiring landscape designers take note!) It’s a rare career opportunity: you’ll learn from our 25+ years of expertise in sustainability/landscape design, plus tap into some amazing connections and projects. We need a pro-active team-mate who embraces our vision and is dedicated to helping us take our current successes and expand mindfully into the future.
Would you enjoy a variety of roles - technical and creative, solo work and team, indoors and outdoors – and the opportunity to learn directly from leaders in sustainability? Would you like to participate in the installation of magazine-quality landscapes? Are you excited to use your diverse talents, creativity, and positive attitude in a collaborate environment? Then this job is for you.
The Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc mission is “healing people, place, and planet” through landscapes that are both consciously designed and ecologically responsible. Our projects are diverse; small and large, private and public, but primarily residential. It’s a small but busy office, requiring you to be detail-oriented, efficient, and well-organized.
Full-time or Part-time. We especially value diverse talent - someone who brings broad skills in areas like horticulture, marketing, writing, photography, video editing, sustainability and/or construction. While the position cannot be done remotely, some flexibility of schedule may be possible.
Requirements include:
- Effective writing, speaking, presenting and active listening skills
- Passion for plants and gardening, and for our company mission
- Able and willing to physically work on landscape projects, including planting and gardening
- Creative, adaptable, and familiar with current marketing trends, including online, social media, etc.
- Admin & tech-savvy: expertise with Microsoft Office, research, & sourcing
- Artistry in Presentations: Ads, Photoshop, InDesign, Video editing
- Data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- Project management skills, including costing and deadline management
- Comfortable in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
- Marketing, Horticulture, and/or Landscape Design background is ideal, but not essential.
If you are sharp, multi-talented, and want to share in a creative, constantly-evolving, family environment that will allow you to bring your best to every project, you may be exactly who we’re looking for. Talk to us
