Job Description

Location: New York, NY — Hybrid

Compensation: $55,000–$65,000, depending on experience

Level: Entry Level

Company: Appraisal Bureau

About Appraisal Bureau

Appraisal Bureau is a technology-enabled appraisal firm building valuation infrastructure for the global art market. We leverage technology and deep appraisal expertise to provide independent valuation, data, and reporting for art and collectible assets. We work with collectors, family offices, financial institutions, museums, and advisors across the art and financial industries.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to work directly with our Founder & CEO. This is an entry-level role with exposure across many areas of the business and a unique opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the art and appraisal industry.

The Executive Assistant will support the CEO across client management, scheduling, travel, projects, investor relations, and day-to-day operations. You will learn the appraisal business firsthand, develop relationships across the art and financial industries, and take on increasing responsibility as you grow within the company.

This role is ideal for someone highly organized, intellectually curious, resourceful, and excited to learn by working closely alongside the founder.

What You’ll Do

  • Executive Support: Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, priorities, correspondence, and day-to-day workflow.
  • Client Management: Coordinate client communications, meetings, onboarding, follow-ups, and ongoing relationships.
  • Travel & Logistics: Coordinate domestic and international travel, itineraries, accommodations, reservations, and related logistics.
  • Project Management: Track projects, deadlines, and action items and help ensure priorities move forward.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, research, materials, and briefing notes and coordinate follow-up.
  • Investor Relations: Assist with investor communications, meeting coordination, materials, and follow-ups.
  • Special Projects: Support events, research, business development, and other initiatives across the company.
  • Keep Things Moving: Anticipate needs, stay on top of details, and ensure important tasks don’t fall through the cracks.

Who You Are

You are early in your career, highly organized, curious, and eager to learn. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good judgment.

You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, figuring things out independently, and interacting professionally with clients, partners, and senior executives. You are proactive, resourceful, discreet, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

An interest in art, appraisals, wealth management, or the broader art market is strongly preferred.

Growth Opportunity

This role is designed to be a springboard into the appraisal industry. You’ll work directly with the Founder & CEO while gaining hands-on exposure to clients, appraisals, art collections, financial institutions, and the operational side of the business.

For someone ambitious and eager to learn, there is significant opportunity to take on greater responsibility and grow into a broader role within Appraisal Bureau over time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $55,000–$65,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off
  • Hybrid work model: three days per week in our Tribeca office and two days working from home
