Blockchain Developer

About the Role

Our Distributed Ledger Technology team is seeking a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer to help build a pioneering, industry-wide distributed ledger solution for the alternative investment ecosystem. In this role, you will use innovative technology to streamline private market investments for financial advisors and high-net-worth clients.

The ideal candidate can easily navigate complex business problems, scope engineering projects, optimize technical workflows, and clearly communicate insights across all levels of the organization. This is a highly visible position that requires close collaboration with Engineering, Product, senior leadership, and external industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Blockchain Development: Design and implement a private, permissioned distributed ledger utilizing DAML, Canton, and other open-source blockchain frameworks.
• API Architecture: Build, scale, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Technical Leadership: Motivate, guide, and provide technical direction to team members while mentoring junior engineers.
• SDLC Participation: Actively participate in daily stand-ups, agile processes, and rigorous peer code reviews.
• Innovation: Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain technology and identify strategic ways to integrate them into our ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Enterprise Experience: 9+ years of professional software engineering experience building cloud-based enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Leadership: 3+ years of experience in technical leadership, mentorship, or engineering management.
• Blockchain Expertise: Hands-on experience with DAML, Solidity, or other prominent smart contract programming languages.
• Core Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and related tokenization frameworks.
• Data & Cloud: Demonstrated mastery of relational database concepts, data modeling, and building large-scale APIs within AWS.
