About Medtelligent
Medtelligent is the company behind ALIS, the leading software platform for assisted living,
memory care, and independent living communities. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in
Chicago, we are a profitable, founder-led company. ALIS is used by caregivers, nurses,
business office managers, and clinical leadership across thousands of communities, and our
App Store includes 170+ partners. Our vision is for ALIS to win a leading share of the AL/MC/IL
market through excellent software and customer service that enhances the lives of staff
members and the residents they serve.
About the Role
We’re hiring a VP of Product to partner with our CEO and CTO to set product vision, lead our
product, design, and BI teams, and continue scaling and accelerating ALIS’s reach in the
market. The right person is a builder. They’ve shipped delightful software that customers love, led
design-driven product organizations, and mentored PMs into stronger operators. They take
directional vision from founders and translate it into a sharp, executable product strategy that
the team and company rally around. They embody our values of Integrity, Curiosity, and
Excellence.
What You’ll Own
Strategy & Vision (~25%): Translate the founders’ directional vision into a 12 to 24 month
product strategy and 3 year roadmap. Own competitive positioning, ALIS’s AI product strategy,
and platform and App Store strategy as a strategic lever for growth.
Execution & Delivery (~30%): Own the full product development lifecycle with a focus on
shipping fast and shipping delightful, high-quality solutions that customers adopt and love. Drive
a strong delivery rhythm: clear roadmaps, reliable timelines, and fast iteration cycles that
compound into outsized customer impact.
Operational Partnership & Triage (~15%): Work cross-functionally with the COO, CTO, EVP
of Sales, and CFO to prioritize, route, and facilitate product needs that support our day-to-day
operations: bugs, customer escalations, enhancement requests, and operational issues raised
across the business. You’ll be the senior product voice in the room when these decisions are
made.
Team & UX (~20%): Lead and mentor our product management team and elevate our UX and
design function so ALIS continues to set the bar for user experience in our category. Oversee
our Business Intelligence team and use data to drive product, customer, and company
outcomes. Set the bar for product craft across the organization.
Cross-Functional Partnership (~10%): Partner as a true peer with the CEO, COO, CTO, CFO,
and EVP of Sales. Build a data-driven product culture and make product progress visible across
the company through regular reviews, demos, and updates.
