We are seeking a dedicated and professional Health Care Appointment Scheduler Specialist to join the world-renowned team at Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic is a not-for-profit, multispecialty academic medical centre that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education, consistently ranked as one of the top hospitals in the United States.

This is a full-time position with the flexibility of working either day or night shifts. This role is open to candidates residing in Ohio or Pennsylvania, United States. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience from the very first interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments across various clinical specialities.
  • Accurately capture and update patient demographic, insurance, and medical information in our electronic record systems.
  • Provide patients with essential information regarding their appointments, including preparation instructions, clinic locations, and necessary documentation.
  • Liaise effectively with clinical staff and different departments to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Address patient enquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts with empathy, patience, and a commitment to service excellence.
  • Maintain strict adherence to data protection and patient confidentiality regulations.
  • Utilise multiple IT systems simultaneously to manage patient information and scheduling requests.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, call centre, or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and compassionate telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and the ability to learn new software and scheduling platforms quickly.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A resilient and positive attitude, with a genuine desire to help people.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Access to extensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays and sick leave.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression within a leading global healthcare organisation.
  • Participation in a robust retirement savings plan.
  • Access to employee wellness programmes designed to support your health and well-being.
