Frontend Developer Intern

Commercial software often focuses on visual polish while the underlying business logic remains hidden or oversimplified. When a company changes its pricing structure or reallocates capital, the interface should clearly show the financial results of those choices. Blue Oak Consulting builds the technical tools that make these economic realities visible. We are looking for a Frontend Developer Intern to assist our team in building these interfaces. Our partner is a Dublin based firm expanding their reach, and this role will contribute to the web tools we are developing to support their new operational scale.

The role

• Build and maintain web components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Help translate complex business logic into user-friendly dashboards and data visualizations.
• Work with our strategy consultants to ensure the technical interface matches the economic models we build.
• Support the ongoing expansion of our Dublin based partner by developing features tailored to their growth needs.
• Test and troubleshoot frontend code to ensure reliability across different browsers and devices.
• Participate in technical reviews to maintain code quality and readability.
• Document technical processes to help the team scale its internal knowledge.

What we need from you

• A basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Some exposure to frontend libraries or frameworks, such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• An interest in data visualization and how to present numerical information clearly.
• Communication skills that allow you to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• The ability to stay organized and productive in a fully remote environment.
• A skeptical mind that looks for logic and accuracy in every task.
