Senior Java Developer – Angular / Accessibility

**Albany, NY Onsite from Day 1 W-2 $49–$50/hour Long-Term NYS Engagement**

SDVO Technology Services, Inc. is recruiting for multiple Senior Software Developer opportunities supporting the New York State Department of Labor in Albany, NY.

These are long-term engagements anticipated to run approximately 30 months . Candidates must be available to work onsite from Day 1 at the Harriman State Office Campus in Albany, NY .

We are especially interested in experienced Java developers with strong Angular development and ADA/WCAG web-accessibility experience .

Compensation: $49–$50/hour W-2, depending on assignment.

Required background

Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional software-development experience , including substantial experience with:

• Java-based multi-tier web applications using J2EE and/or Spring Boot
• Angular user interfaces and reusable UI components
• Developing web applications meeting ADA and/or WCAG accessibility standards
• REST and/or SOAP web services
• Backend business services, batch jobs, and application integrations
• SQL and relational databases
• Hibernate, JPA, or comparable data-access technologies
• GitHub and/or GitLab
• CI/CD pipelines
• Enterprise cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Analyzing and documenting existing application designs, enhancement roadmaps, system functionality, and/or technical debt

NYS experience requirements

The State’s requested qualification profile includes:

• 60 months Java/J2EE/Spring Boot multi-tier development
• 48 months Angular development, including accessible applications meeting ADA/WCAG requirements
• 48 months REST/SOAP services, backend services, batch jobs, and interfaces
• 36 months SQL/DB2/Hibernate/JPA or comparable database technologies
• 36 months GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD
• 24 months GCP or another enterprise cloud platform
• 24 months application-design, roadmap, functionality, or technical-debt analysis/documentation

Candidates do not necessarily need to meet every requested qualification to be considered, but all experience represented during the State submission process must be accurate and supported by actual employers, projects, and dates.

Employment requirements

• W-2 only
• Must be able to work onsite in Albany, NY from Day 1
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
• No C2C
• This position is not available for candidates requiring H-1B transfer/sponsorship, OPT/STEM OPT, CPT, or other employer-dependent work authorization

If selected for the next stage, candidates will be asked to document relevant experience by employer/project and dates as part of the New York State HBITS submission process.
