SENIOR JAVA + ANGULAR DEVELOPER – ADA/WCAG ACCESSIBILITY

**Albany, NY Onsite from Day 1 W-2 $49–$50/hour Long-Term NYS Engagement**

SDVO Technology Services, Inc. is recruiting for multiple Senior Software Developer opportunities supporting the New York State Department of Labor.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS A HIGHLY TARGETED SEARCH.

For this recruiting round, we are specifically seeking experienced Java/Spring Boot developers who also have at least 4 years of hands-on professional Angular development on applications required to comply with ADA and/or WCAG accessibility standards.

Please do not apply based only on general Java experience, general Angular experience, or accessibility testing/QA experience.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Onsite from Day 1

DURATION

Approximately 30 months

COMPENSATION

$49–$50/hour W-2, depending on assignment

No C2C.

CORE EXPERIENCE WE ARE SEEKING

• At least 5 years of paid professional Software Developer experience

• At least 5 years of professional Java/J2EE and/or Spring Boot application development

• At least 4 years of professional Angular development

• At least 4 years personally developing Angular applications that were specifically required to comply with ADA and/or WCAG accessibility standards

• Experience building reusable Angular UI components

• REST and/or SOAP services, backend business services, batch jobs, and enterprise application integrations

• SQL and relational database development

• Hibernate, JPA, DB2, or comparable persistence/data-access technologies

• GitHub and/or GitLab

• CI/CD pipelines

• GCP, AWS, Azure, or another enterprise cloud platform

• Application design, system-functionality documentation, enhancement roadmaps, and/or technical-debt analysis

WHAT COUNTS AS ACCESSIBILITY DEVELOPMENT

Relevant hands-on development may include:

• WCAG 2.0 or WCAG 2.1 implementation

• ADA-compliant web application development

• Section 508 development

• Semantic HTML

• ARIA implementation

• Keyboard navigation and focus management

• Screen-reader-compatible application development

• Accessible Angular forms and reusable components

• Remediation of accessibility defects within Angular applications

• Developing against formal accessibility acceptance criteria

Accessibility testing alone is not sufficient.

Candidates should be able to identify the employer/client, project, and dates where the accessibility development occurred.

NEW YORK STATE EXPERIENCE PROFILE

The applicable State opportunities score experience including:

• 60 months Java/J2EE/Spring Boot multi-tier web application development

• 48 months Angular UI development, reusable components, and accessible applications meeting ADA/WCAG standards

• 48 months REST/SOAP services, backend services, batch jobs, and application interfaces

• 36 months SQL/DB2/Hibernate/JPA or comparable technologies

• 36 months GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD

• 24 months GCP or another enterprise cloud platform

• 24 months application-design, enhancement-roadmap, technical-debt, or system-functionality analysis/documentation

Candidates ultimately submitted to New York State must be able to support experience claims with actual employers, projects, and dates.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
