Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Sr. Data Center Network Engineer (Cisco ACI) to support a large-scale data center decommissioning and infrastructure consolidation initiative.

Position Description: The Senior Data Center Network Engineer will be responsible for executing network device decommissioning, designing and implementing traffic migration strategies, and upgrading legacy infrastructure while ensuring strict adherence to change management and compliance processes.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct network audits to identify infrastructure targeted for retirement
• Back up configurations, routing tables, and VLAN databases before decommissioning activities
• Design and execute traffic migration strategies to maintain service continuity
• Decommission routers, switches, and firewalls while maintaining accurate network documentation
• Migrate legacy infrastructure to modern data center platforms
• Lead terminal server consolidation initiatives
• Perform post-migration testing and validation activities
• Operate within formal change management and CAB approval processes
• Partner with infrastructure, operations, and project teams to coordinate migration activities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of enterprise and data center networking experience
• Advanced Cisco Data Center Networking (Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ACI, Routing & Switching)
• Proven experience in Data Center Decommissioning, Migration Planning, and Infrastructure Consolidation within brownfield environments
• Expertise in Enterprise Routing & Switching Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN)
• Active CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Data Center certification
• Exceptional communication skills (minimum 8 out of 10)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (W-2 employment only)
• Technical Environment: Cisco Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 Series, Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, and 9300 Series, Cisco ASR Routers, Cisco ACI (Spine-Leaf Architecture), EVPN/VXLAN Data Center Fabrics, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, vPC, VDC, OTV, STP/MSTP, EtherChannel

Desired Qualifications:

• Active CCIE Data Center certification (Strongly Preferred)
• Experience with Juniper MX and EX platforms
• Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM
• Proficiency in Python scripting and/or Ansible automation
• Experience using SolarWinds, CiscoWorks, or similar network management tools
• Familiarity with Visio or equivalent network diagramming tools
• ITIL Foundation certification
• PMP certification
