Job Role: Network Technician
Location: Burlington, NJ and Edgewater Park, NJ
Scope of Work:
- The Field Network Technician will provide hands-on onsite support for wired network and managed equipment.
- The technician must have basic networking skills and be capable of directly accessing network devices through console connections to troubleshoot and restore service.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot wired network connectivity and equipment issues.
- Console into switches, routers, and other managed devices.
- Perform routine programming and configuration tasks.
- Troubleshoot Ethernet, CAT5/CAT6 cabling, ports, and connections.
- Test network cables using CAT5/CAT6 cable testers.
- Perform basic hardware and physical-layer troubleshooting.
- Reconnect, replace, or troubleshoot network cables and equipment as required.
- Work with remote network engineers to diagnose and restore service.
- Provide onsite status updates and document work performed.
- Follow client procedures, security requirements, and engineering instructions.
