Senior AI Engineer – AI & Emerging Technologies

Tenure 6-month contract with a strong possibility of becoming permanent Pay 130/hr - 200/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the AI & Emerging Technologies team for a large renowned Broadcasting Television Network. This role will be responsible for researching, prototyping, evaluating, and deploying AI/ML and agentic applications, with a strong focus on emerging technologies and opportunities to scale successful solutions into production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development on AI/ML technologies, architectures, and emerging capabilities.
• Design, prototype, and deploy AI, LLM, and agentic applications for proof-of-concept demonstrations and experimentation.
• Identify successful AI solutions and support their transition and scaling into production environments.
• Explore and advance the capabilities of Traditional AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
• Monitor emerging AI trends, technologies, tools, and industry developments and help promote their adoption across the organization.
• Evaluate and pilot third-party AI solutions based on technical fit, scalability, security, and business value.
• Develop AI prototypes that inform future product development and commercialization.
• Contribute to data preparation, data strategy, and synthetic data generation to support AI experimentation and model development.
• Evaluate AI models and solutions for performance, safety, reliability, and operational readiness prior to production hand-off.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and technical direction of AI-powered systems.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize AI workflows within cloud environments.
• Partner with AI Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement AI initiatives and solutions.

Must haves:

• Strong programming experience with Python, APIs, machine learning frameworks, and AI development tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience building AI applications using LangChain and/or ADK.
• Hands-on experience working with LLM platforms and models, including OpenAI GPT, Google AI, and Claude.
• Strong understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-based AI architectures.
