Software Engineer (Backend) for an AI automation platform

Role Description

• As a Software Engineer (Backend) for the AI automation platform at Robylon AI, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services that power large-scale, AI-driven customer support workflows.
• You will build and optimize APIs, data processing pipelines, and integration layers with external systems and communication channels.
• You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, ML/AI teams, and product managers to translate requirements into robust, secure, and scalable backend solutions.
• Daily work will include writing clean, well-tested code, reviewing peer code, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system performance and reliability.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for scalable, high-availability services.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or Node.js).
• Experience designing and working with RESTful or GraphQL APIs, microservices architectures, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write maintainable, testable code and familiarity with unit, integration, and performance testing practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in cross-functional engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
