General Summary

2-10 years of Software Engineering or related experience. Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/JavaScript. In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers. Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts. Strong problem solving skills - look at big picture and unorthodox ways to solve challenging performance problems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power.
  • Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.
  • Develops new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads across product segments
  • Understands software workloads at next level (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluates optimization opportunities
  • Collaborates with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams to implement solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
