Job Description
About the Role
The founder and host of an evolving media platform focused on leadership and accountability in Jewish communal life is seeking a highly capable Manhattan-based Executive & Personal Assistant. This is a high-trust, heavily in-person role for someone who can manage executive priorities, personal logistics, communications, research, writing, and coordination across a growing media business.
The assistant works as the founder’s operating right hand, absorbing context from conversations, turning direction into action, and keeping competing priorities organized across both business and personal domains. The role works in close coordination with the platform’s Podcast Producer and remote team. There is meaningful opportunity to grow toward senior executive operations or Chief of Staff responsibility as the business expands.
What the Role Covers
- Managing the founder’s business calendar, meetings, reminders, follow-ups, travel, reservations, appointments, and day-to-day priorities
- Supporting appropriate personal logistics and errands with discretion and good judgment
- Drafting and refining emails, outreach, notes, briefs, follow-ups, LinkedIn copy, and other executive communications in the founder’s voice
- Researching people, organizations, vendors, opportunities, and topics, summarizing what matters and recommending clear next actions
- Turning meetings and verbal direction into organized task lists, trackers, documents, deadlines, and completed follow-through
- Coordinating closely with the Podcast Producer on guest scheduling, recording logistics, availability, and handoffs to the remote team
- Improving systems as the business grows, learning to anticipate needs and raise the operating standard over time
Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, Office Manager, or comparable high-trust support role required
- Experience in technology, creative content, media, marketing, communications, or a fast-moving founder-led company strongly preferred
- Exceptional written communication, organization, discretion, judgment, and follow-through
- Ability to switch fluidly between executive and personal priorities
- Comfortable working directly and frequently with the founder in Manhattan while coordinating with remote colleagues
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office/365, Slack, Zoom, Notion/Airtable, Calendly, and AI productivity tools
- U.S. citizen with a four-year degree from a U.S. college or university required
