About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Markit EDM Developer to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data integration solutions within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role will focus on enhancing ETL pipelines, maintaining critical data workflows, and supporting time-sensitive batch operations, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Markit EDM components including data models, workflows, loaders, and ETL processes
• Build and enhance data ingestion and distribution frameworks
• Monitor and support intraday batch operations; troubleshoot and resolve issues across upstream and downstream systems
• Deliver both short-term fixes and long-term enhancements in a production support environment
• Conduct unit testing and support SIT/UAT with proper documentation and evidence
• Gather requirements and produce technical documentation (design specs, runbooks, support guides)
• Manage and update job scheduling (e.g., Tidal) and support recovery procedures
• Optimize SQL queries and EDM processes for performance and scalability
• Support environment activities including deployments, migrations, and refresh cycles
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and estimation
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with Markit EDM development
• Strong experience with SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, data analysis)
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data lineage, and batch processing frameworks
• Experience with production support, incident management, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of financial markets data, including security mastering
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document technical solutions

Nice to Have

• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Tidal
• Exposure to large-scale data platforms or enterprise data ecosystems
• Prior experience mentoring or leading small technical teams

**The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates**
