Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Developer

We are looking for an SAP ABAP Lead for a 12 month contract with a client in Ottawa. The work can be done remotely (from within Canada only) but the consultant must work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Duties: You will work on multiple tasks including:

• Provide technical guidance for SAP development initiatives
• Act as the lead technical resource and advisor across a broad range of solutions

spanning SAP S/4HANA, SAP SaaS, SAP BTP-based iPaaS, and PaaS platforms

• Define, review, and approve SAP solution designs and development approaches
• Perform detailed code reviews, validate technical designs, and conduct quality

assurance checks to ensure adherence to development standards

Mandatory Requirements:

• 15 years hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including ABAP OO, debugging, and HANA-based performance optimization
• 3 years of Development Lead experience
• 2 years of S4 HANA on-prem and/or S4 HANA Private cloud including involvement in at least 1 end-to-end implementation or conversion
• 5 years of SAP integration experience with SAP and non-SAP applications, including 3 years in SAP Integration Suite
• 5 years of experience in ABAP CDS views including but not limited to Data modeling, development of REST services, CDS hierarchies and embedded analytics enablement.
• 4 years of SAP Fiori/UI5 experience, covering configuration, design, development, deployment, debugging, and extension of Fiori applications across both UI and backend layers, including standard Fiori app extensions, Fiori Elements, and freestyle UI5 application development.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and controlling area with ability to understand
• A three-year university degree or three-year college diploma in Computer Information Systems or equivalent
• One SAP valid certification.
