Project Manager - Construction

We’re recruiting for a Commercial Construction Project Manager opportunity in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Our client is open to both Project Manager and Senior Project Manager level candidates, depending on experience. This is a full-time onsite role with an established design-build construction firm.

This opportunity is focused on commercial and industrial construction, including educational facilities, churches, and other non-residential projects. The right candidate will bring strong project ownership, client communication, field coordination, and construction management experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead commercial and industrial construction projects from planning through closeout
• Coordinate project activity with clients, subcontractors, field leaders, and internal teams
• Manage schedules, budgets, change orders, billing documentation, and project records
• Review plans, scopes, contracts, specifications, and construction documents
• Lead project meetings, communicate updates, and resolve project issues
• Monitor subcontractor performance, job costs, safety, quality, and compliance
• Help mentor and support project teams while driving accountability and results

Qualifications include:

• Commercial or industrial construction project management experience
• Background with a commercial general contractor, construction manager, or design-build firm preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, scopes, and specifications
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, Timberline/Sage, or similar tools preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Degree in construction management, engineering, civil engineering, or related field preferred
