Junior AI Automation Engineer

Role Summary:

Synapsys is looking for a Junior AI Automation Engineer to support our internal AI transformation and automation initiatives. The role will involve auditing internal workflows, identifying manual processes, building simple automations, supporting CRM and reporting improvements, and creating AI-powered tools for internal productivity.

You will work closely with management to improve how Synapsys operates internally across sales, operations, finance, HR, reporting, document management, and project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Support the internal audit of Synapsys’ current systems, tools, and workflows.

Map business processes across sales, operations, finance, HR, admin, and project delivery.

Identify repetitive manual tasks that can be automated.

Build simple workflow automations using tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or similar platforms.

Use AI tools and APIs such as ChatGPT, OpenAI API, Claude, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot to support internal productivity.

Assist in building AI assistants for proposal drafting, meeting summaries, document search, sales follow-ups, and internal knowledge management.

Support CRM setup, sales pipeline tracking, dashboards, and reporting workflows.

Assist with integrations between CRM, email, WhatsApp API, Xero, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and project management tools.

Write simple scripts or applications using Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Document workflows, SOPs, automations, and technical setup clearly.

Research new AI and automation tools that can improve Synapsys’ operations.

Support the preparation of AI demos that Synapsys can later present to clients.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or related field.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Basic coding knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, databases, and system integrations.

Interest or experience in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, OpenAI API, or Microsoft Copilot.

Basic knowledge of automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or Power Automate.

Able to work with spreadsheets, dashboards, forms, and databases.

Good problem-solving and documentation skills.

Able to communicate technical ideas in simple language.

Willing to learn, test, and implement new tools quickly.

Good to Have:

Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, Airtable, Notion, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Odoo, Xero, Power BI, Looker Studio, Supabase, Firebase, PostgreSQL, OpenAI API, Claude API, or WhatsApp Business API.

Personal AI projects, automation demos, GitHub portfolio, chatbot projects, or workflow automation examples.

Qualifications

• Experience in Troubleshooting and resolving automation system issues
• Knowledge of Process Control and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Electrical Engineering principles and practices
• Understanding of Automation and Robotics systems, including their design and maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Robotics, or related field)
• Experience using AI tools or techniques in automation is a plus
