Power BI Developer

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team for a contract opportunity. This is a fully remote position for a mid-level professional with hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting Power BI reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating impactful dashboards, managing Power BI environments, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models to support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into meaningful data visualizations and insights.
• Administer and support the Power BI Service environment, including workspace management, report deployment, access control, and governance.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, ensuring reliable and accurate reporting solutions.
• Optimize report and dashboard performance to improve user experience and data accessibility.
• Provide end-user support, training, and guidance on Power BI best practices.
• Document reporting processes, data models, and technical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Strong understanding of Power BI Service administration and workspace management.
• Ability to gather business requirements and convert them into clear, effective reporting solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting Power BI reports, datasets, and deployment issues.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques in Power BI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions.
• Familiarity with data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Exposure to data governance and reporting best practices.
