We have an excellent opportunity available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer near the Binghamton, NY area.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Create and revise mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings
• Ensure form, fit, and function through dimensional analysis
• Support sample builds, testing, and customer prototypes
• Collaborate cross functionally to resolve manufacturing and quality issues
• Interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Provide engineering input for cost estimates and product requests

Education and Experience :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 1-3+ years of work experience, co-ops or internships
• Experience with electro-mechanical products
• Experience with designs, layouts, and specifications
• Exposure to manufacturing and prototype support
• Proficient with Creo or other 3D CAD tools
