Job Overview

Role Summary

Single point of ownership for the entire Phase 2 engagement. This role combines technical authority with delivery leadership — there is no separate Program Manager. The Firewall Architect owns the Network Security stakeholder relationship, drives milestone presentations, manages budget and timeline governance, and provides hands-on technical oversight of the rule decomposition methodology and change wave execution approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the Phase 2 remediation program across all three milestones (Day 60, 120, 180)
• Serve as the single point of contact for Network Security leadership, satisfying the RFP requirement for an NA-based program lead
• Define and validate the rule decomposition logic for FortiGate firewall policies, ensuring automated replacements align with design standards
• Oversee Palo Alto acquired entity remediation where applicable, coordinating cross-platform standardization
• Chair weekly steering governance with stakeholders and manage escalation pathways
• Review and approve all change wave plans before production execution, including rollback procedures
• Present milestone deliverables to Network Security leadership for formal acceptance
• Manage scope, budget, and timeline — including change control for volume overages beyond the M1-baselined band

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in network security engineering with deep FortiGate (Forti Manager/Forti Analyzer) expertise
• Hands-on experience with firewall policy design, rule lifecycle management, and flow-based telemetry analysis
• Proven delivery leadership in tier-1 financial institution environments (investment bank preferred)
• Experience with firmwide change management processes and production change execution in high-control environments
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Fortinet NSE 7+ or equivalent certification preferred
