Senior Software Engineer (Springboot Microservices)

About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a finance sector project on a 12-month contract, where you’ll design robust software solutions, guide architectural decisions, and mentor the next generation of engineering talent.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions
• Lead technical planning and architecture decisions for software projects
• Mentor junior software engineers, providing guidance and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve project objectives
• Implement best practices in software development and maintain documentation
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of systems

About you

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a proven track record of successful projects
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Hands-on expertise with Springboot Microservices, SQL, Maven, and Github/Gitlab
• Experience with caching technologies (Hazelcast/Redis), Kafka, and Spring Cloud Gateway is highly advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
