Job Description
What if your next AE role was selling the infrastructure behind the companies defining the next generation of AI?
Join one of the fastest-growing companies in AI infrastructure as they aggressively scale their commercial team across NYC.
This is a chance to sell directly into AI-native companies, developers, ML engineers & technical founders building production AI products - at a company operating right at the centre of the current AI infrastructure boom.
They’re well-funded, growing rapidly & building a serious commercial organisation around a highly technical product with real developer adoption.
This is not traditional enterprise SaaS.
It’s faster, more technical, more entrepreneurial & much closer to the product.
The company
- A high-growth AI infrastructure company building technology that helps businesses deploy & run AI models in production.
- Their platform sits deep within the modern AI stack, helping technical teams improve performance, latency, scalability & economics as their AI workloads grow.
- They’re already working with some of the most sophisticated teams in AI & technology, but are still early enough that the next generation of sales hires will have meaningful influence over how the commercial organisation develops.
- The ambition is significant.
- They’re scaling the sales team aggressively & want people capable of becoming future top performers, senior AEs & commercial leaders as the organisation grows.
The opportunity
This role sits between highly technical infrastructure selling & high-velocity commercial sales.
The customer journey often looks like:
technical evaluation → initial deployment → usage growth → major commercial expansion
Rather than spending 9–12 months navigating procurement before anything happens, customers can begin relatively quickly, prove value through usage & expand rapidly from there.
You’ll work directly with:
- Developers
- ML engineers
- Platform & infrastructure teams
- Technical founders
- Engineering leadership
You don’t need to be an engineer.
But you should genuinely enjoy learning technical products & be comfortable holding your own with technical customers.
The role
You’ll own new business across high-growth AI-native & technology companies.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Building & owning your pipeline
- Prospecting into high-growth technical companies
- Running discovery with developers, ML engineers & technical leaders
- Understanding customer architecture, workloads & commercial requirements
- Managing the full sales cycle from first conversation through signature
- Driving technical evaluations alongside internal engineering teams
- Creating urgency & maintaining deal momentum
- Identifying usage & adoption signals that can drive expansion
- Multi-threading technical & commercial stakeholders
- Closing new logos
- Helping shape messaging, GTM process & sales playbooks
- Becoming a trusted commercial partner to highly technical customers
This is a sales role first.
You’re still expected to prospect, negotiate, close & carry a number.
The difference is that the product - and the people buying it — are considerably more technical than traditional SaaS.
What we’re looking for
Ideally 4+ years of experience selling technical products .
You’ll ideally have:
- 4+ years of quota-carrying closing experience
- Consistent quota attainment
- Strong new-logo hunting experience
- Self-sourced pipeline experience
- Experience selling to developers, engineering, data, ML or platform teams
- Experience managing technical evaluations
- Strong commercial instincts
- The ability to operate independently
- Comfort working in an ambitious, fast-changing environment
- Genuine technical curiosity
You’ll stand out if
- You’ve sold technical infrastructure into AI, ML, data, DevOps or developer teams.
- You can comfortably discuss APIs, infrastructure & architecture with technical buyers.
- You’ve worked in a sales motion where customers can land relatively quickly & expand significantly through product usage.
- You’ve consistently created your own pipeline rather than relying entirely on SDR or marketing-generated opportunities.
- You’ve been promoted internally because of performance.
This is probably not right if:
- Your experience is predominantly traditional business SaaS
- You mainly sell to HR, Finance or Ma…
