Application Security Architect – AI / GenAI

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive security architecture strategies for AI and GenAI applications, integrating advanced security systems such as firewalls, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), and IAM (Identity & Access Management) solutions.
• Conduct thorough security risk assessments and vulnerability research to identify potential threats within AI models, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture, ensuring adherence to standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and FedRAMP.
• Design secure network architectures utilizing LAN/WAN configurations, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), VPNs, IPsec, load balancing, and high availability configurations to support scalable AI services across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Lead the implementation of cybersecurity best practices including DevSecOps practices, system security plans, encryption protocols, openSUSE/Linux or Windows OS security hardening, and system security management to protect sensitive data processed by AI systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on incident response planning, disaster recovery procedures, and incident management to ensure rapid mitigation of security incidents related to AI applications.
• Maintain compliance with relevant information security standards such as ISO 27002/27000 series, PCI DSS for data protection, and FIPS encryption standards while supporting audit processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats in cybersecurity related to AI/GenAI models and recommend proactive measures for continuous improvement of security posture.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing IT security architecture for complex networks including LAN/WAN environments with knowledge of Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA routers/firewalls, Juniper devices, and network protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; experience with cloud infrastructure security frameworks such as FedRAMP or NIST standards.
• Expertise in implementing IAM solutions using LDAP or SSO protocols; familiarity with access control management and identity federation across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS), SIEM tools like Splunk or New Relic for real-time security monitoring; proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies including PKI certificates; experience securing open-source operating systems like Debian or CentOS as well as enterprise environments such as Windows Server or VMware vSphere.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as COBIT or DIACAP; understanding of system administration tasks including scripting (Python/Bash) for automation purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA or GIAC are highly desirable.
