About the Role

Our banking client is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work directly with Fixed Income business teams, traders, sales, quants, operations, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders .

This is a hands-on engineering role—not an advisory/strategy position . You will sit close to the business, identify high-value AI opportunities, translate workflows into technical solutions, build and test applications, troubleshoot issues, and help move AI solutions from prototype to controlled production adoption .

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Fixed Income teams to understand workflows, pain points, data sources, and AI opportunities.
• Work with traders, sales, research, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Build production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI applications using Python .
• Develop solutions using OpenAI, Claude Agent SDK, LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, MCP integrations, RAG, orchestration, and prompt engineering .
• Build AI solutions for knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, document analysis, trade support, client intelligence, operational exceptions, and management reporting.
• Develop retrieval pipelines across structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Apply prompt engineering, grounding, context management, and output validation to improve AI accuracy and reliability.
• Design AI evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, relevance, completeness, hallucination risk, and compliance alignment.
• Collaborate with technology and control teams on security, privacy, access control, auditability, and AI/model governance .
• Gather business-user feedback and continuously refine AI workflows for real-world adoption.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and senior business stakeholders.
• Develop reusable AI patterns and accelerators that can scale across financial-services use cases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on Python software engineering experience.
• Experience building applications using OpenAI, Claude Agent SDK, or comparable LLM/agentic APIs and frameworks .
• Strong practical knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, prompt engineering, grounding, context management, and output validation .
• Experience building AI/data-driven applications integrating APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise data .
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain AI concepts, risks, and technical decisions to business users.
• Experience working in Agile, fast-paced environments where prototypes need to evolve into production-ready solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services/capital markets experience , particularly Fixed Income, trading, sales, risk, operations, or banking technology.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products such as rates, credit, securitized products, municipals, FX, or derivatives.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and document intelligence .
• Experience developing AI evaluation frameworks , test datasets, quality metrics, human-review processes, and model monitoring.
• Knowledge of AI governance, model risk management, compliance, data privacy, and financial-services regulations .
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Client Engineering, Consulting, Technical Delivery, or Post-Sales Engineering .
• Exposure to cloud platforms, secure APIs, authentication/authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
