Software Engineer, Mobile (iOS), Digital Bank

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner-facing products, platforms and features.
• Build reusable and scalable iOS software components for the digital banking platform.
• Develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications with a strong focus on performance, reliability, security and user experience.
• Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), automated testing and manual testing to ensure app releases meet high quality standards.
• Monitor the performance of live applications and continuously improve both the codebase and overall user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, best practices and technical expertise across teams.
• Apply pair programming and other collaborative development practices where appropriate.
• Evaluate and adopt new iOS development methodologies, frameworks and technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Up-to-date knowledge of modern iOS development, including strong hands-on experience with Swift and/or SwiftUI.
• Experience with iOS frameworks, UIKit/SwiftUI, asynchronous programming and relevant Apple development technologies.
• Strong UX/UI exposure with experience developing intuitive, responsive and pixel-perfect mobile interfaces.
• Working knowledge of software architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, VIPER or Clean Architecture.
• Good understanding of caching, data storage, networking and mobile application security.
• Strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing, CI/CD and version control such as Git.
• Highly accountable with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player with a “Your Problem Is My Problem” (YPIMP) mindset.
• Experience in banking, fintech or digital banking applications would be an added advantage.
