Executive Marketing Assistant

I am looking for someone who is interested in working in marketing and event production. The position can be structured in two different ways. The first way would be completely focused on business tasks including content marketing, social media, design work and event production/management. The other option would be more of a hybrid position that would include business as well as personal tasks for a busy husband and wife with a 2 year old boy and a 1 week old girl. Although my company will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary next year, this will feel like a startup environment. The company has been run by a husband and wife team and we have never had an employee of any kind. This will be the first time that we are bringing someone in to work with us.

Ultimately, this would be a position that we would like to continue for a long time, but as this is new to us, we want to be honest from the beginning about the timing. We are absolutely committed to finding someone for August, September and October (full time), but I don’t want to guarantee that the position will be needed after that. However, if everything is working out well, it is very possible that it can be a long term position if you are interested. I felt the need to say this because I don’t want anyone who is interested to turn down a long term position somewhere else for this job just in case it doesn’t end up being long term.

About Us

We are a family of 4 with a 2 year old toddler and a newborn. Since my wife and I have very demanding jobs, the perfect person would be someone who is able to focus on the business tasks, but is also good with kids. My wife is a Realtor and also has a full time marketing job. I own an event business.

I am assuming that this may be a hard position to fill, but having a hybrid assistant that can help with both home and business would be the dream. The other option would be just to get a full time nanny, however I really don’t want to sacrifice quality time with my kids if I don’t have to. We currently have my wife’s mom and my sister that help us out a few days a week, which is nice that our son gets to spend time with family, but with a new baby and a toddler, things are going to get very busy soon.

We live in nice house in The Marina with a lot of room for both kids and places to get work done. We have a nice backyard, a gym, an education room and foam pit room for the kids, a large home office, etc. We just moved in a little over a year ago so everything has been renovated and is set up really well for our family. We want someone who will work at our house for the most part, but there may be potential for some remote work.

We are also very flexible with scheduling. Since my wife and I both work from home, we don’t have a strict schedule each day. We would love to have someone that can work as much as possible, but we can easily work around your schedule and time off needs.

Here are the basic kind of tasks we are looking for:

Business

• Website Tasks: We run a lot of different websites and most of them are built on Wordpress. This would mainly involve writing articles, adding events to event calendars, resizing and adding images, General SEO work, etc.
• Social Media: We have accounts on Instagram, Tik Tok, X, Facebook, etc. and are not really doing the best we can when it comes to consistent posting, engaging with other accounts, etc.
• Email Marketing: We use Klaviyo, Sendgrid and a few other platforms for sending email blasts.
• Design: Creating media for Social Media, Websites, print flyers, etc. on Canva, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, etc.
• Video Creation: Creating videos about San Francisco, Real Estate or to use when promoting our events.
• Posting events to local event websites
• Helping with event planning including communicating with venues, talking to potential sponsors, giving fresh ideas on running the events, helping with staffing, event production design, setting up contests, etc.
• Event Day Tasks: Helping with setting up for events including decorating/design, getting staff organized and helping to manage the events
• Photography/Videography: We can always use original photos and videos for both our websites and Social Media.
