Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Developer
Location: New York, NY — 100% Onsite
Job Type: 12+ Month Contract, likely extension
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week + 4 weeks unpaid vacation
Interview: 1–2 rounds; onsite in NYC or remote via Microsoft Teams
About the Role
Our government client in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Developer to design, develop, customize, integrate, and deploy enterprise applications using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform .
This is a highly hands-on development role for someone with strong expertise in Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and especially Power Pages/Portals . The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of complex solutions from design and development through integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, configure, and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Build and enhance Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Power Apps.
- Design, develop, and customize Power Pages/Portal solutions.
- Configure Dynamics 365 entities/tables, forms, views, dashboards, workflows, and security.
- Develop custom Dynamics 365 plugins using C#, .NET, and the Dynamics 365 SDK .
- Build integrations between Dynamics 365/Power Platform and external systems using APIs.
- Develop custom functionality using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery .
- Work with SQL and multiple data sources to support application requirements.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, configuration, and performance issues.
- Package and deploy Dynamics 365/Power Platform solutions across environments.
- Support testing, debugging, code reviews, documentation, and production deployments.
- Work with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, and version control as part of the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 .
- Deep experience with Microsoft Power Apps , including Canvas and Model-Driven Apps.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Power Pages / Power Pages Portals , including design, customization, integration, and deployment.
- Experience developing Dynamics 365 custom plugins using the SDK and C# .
- Strong C# and .NET development skills.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 and Power Platform with external systems through APIs.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery .
- Experience with ASP.NET .
- Strong SQL and database experience.
- Experience deploying Dynamics 365 customizations and solutions across environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently deliver complex enterprise applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD .
- GitHub or comparable version control experience.
- Experience with automated testing/unit testing.
- Experience optimizing Dynamics 365 and Power Pages application performance.
- Experience working in large enterprise or government environments.
