Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SQL DBA Administrator - Azure to manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases in production environments.
• Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and related Azure services.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Manage database security, user access, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to support business-critical applications.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and monitoring tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as SQL Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience in Backup & Recovery, Always On Availability Groups, Replication, Clustering, and Performance Tuning.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with database migrations from on-premises to Azure.
• Knowledge of monitoring, security, and capacity planning best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure Certification.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup.
• Exposure to DevOps, PowerShell, and database automation.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
