POSITION OVERVIEW

The Network Architect operates within the Grid Operations and OT infrastructure department, reporting directly to the Program Director. This executive-level assignment provides design leadership and technical documentation for the ADMS Hardware Upgrade Project. The role is tasked with solving critical enterprise reliability challenges by defining secure communication paths, designing real-time network failure-mode analysis, and executing large-scale operational technology transformations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed network and system architecture diagrams for ADMS components and enterprise integrations covering OMS, SCADA, DMS, DERMS, and GIS platforms.

• Draft and verify firewall rules and secure communication paths to ensure maximum cybersecurity compliance and optimal real-time operational performance.

• Document comprehensive IP schemes, hostnames, LAN/VLAN segments, and routing requirements for all ADMS hardware and integrated platforms.

• Perform network failure-mode analysis, identify technical risks, and support the validation of failover scenarios, redundancy models, and real-time operational reliability.

• Collaborate closely with Grid Operations, OT teams, SCADA engineers, cybersecurity units, and external vendors to ensure flawless alignment of network designs with operational needs.
