Job Description
The Opportunity
Our client is rapidly scaling adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, and Copilot Studio agents — and needs someone to build the governance foundation to match that pace. You’ll stand up agent governance across the tenant: sharing and exemption controls, a full agent inventory with risk scoring, remediation of the highest-exposure agents, data protection controls, and the runbooks/documentation to make the program self-sustaining after your engagement ends.
What You’ll Do
- Configure and maintain agent access, sharing, publishing, lifecycle governance, an approved-publisher model, and an exemption workflow in partnership with Information Security
- Govern Copilot Studio declarative and custom-engine agents — Managed Environments, environment routing, connector/DLP policies, and least-privilege access
- Build and maintain a tenant-wide agent registry, risk-scoring custom actions, data source scope, embedded files, sharing breadth, and labeling gaps
- Baseline, prioritize, and remediate high-exposure agents, reporting progress to IT leadership
- Align agent controls with the organization’s confidentiality obligations
- Produce maker guidance, governance standards, runbooks, and documentation; support broader teams on agent access and adoption
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra administration, with recent, demonstrable focus on Copilot and/or Power Platform governance
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 Copilot (Copilot Control System) and building/governing agents in Copilot Studio and Agent Builder
- Power Platform admin center experience: Managed Environments, DLP/connector policies, and environment strategy
- Experience with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels and DLP, and operationalizing governance controls at scale
- Automation skills with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and knowledge-transfer skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Cowork and/or Microsoft Agent 365
- Familiarity with confidentiality/ethical-wall frameworks, pay-as-you-go metering, or Copilot Credits
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (AI Administrator Associate, Power Platform, Security/Identity, or Information Protection/Purview)
- Experience in a regulated or confidentiality-sensitive industry (legal, financial services, healthcare, etc.) is a plus but not required
