The Role

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize modern websites and web applications.

This part-time remote opportunity is ideal for a technically capable developer with strong frontend and backend knowledge who can translate business requirements into responsive, scalable, and high-quality web experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive websites and web applications.
• Build user-friendly interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and database-driven functionality where required.
• Translate UI/UX designs, business requirements, and technical specifications into functional web solutions.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment services, analytics tools, and external platforms.
• Optimize websites and applications for performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and search-engine visibility.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, data handling, and application security practices.
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, compatibility problems, and production incidents.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and reusable code.
• Use Git and modern development workflows for version control and collaboration.
• Perform testing, debugging, code reviews, and quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deploy and maintain web applications across cloud or hosting environments.
• Monitor application performance and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with designers, product teams, business stakeholders, and other developers to deliver projects successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience in web development or software engineering is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web-development practices.
• Experience with frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or comparable technologies.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Understanding of responsive design, browser compatibility, accessibility, performance optimization, and web security.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and modern development tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Experience with TypeScript, Docker, DevOps, or headless CMS platforms is advantageous.
