Job Description

About the Role

Great Lakes Prefabrication (GLP) is a specialty subcontractor delivering prefabricated exterior wall systems using StoPanel technology. We support projects across a broad multi-state service area extending coast to coast, with active reach from Florida through the Great Lakes region. We work with general contractors, developers, and owners to accelerate schedules, improve quality, and reduce on-site complexity.

We are seeking a Project Manager to own multiple projects from preconstruction through installation—bridging coordination between our fabrication shop, field installation teams, and clients.

This is a high-impact role with direct responsibility for schedule, financial performance, and client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Coordinate fabrication, delivery, and installation sequencing
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Manage budgets, cost-to-complete, and change orders
  • Interface with general contractors, architects, and consultants
  • Periodic multi-state travel to job sites is required, but travel should be purposeful, efficient, and minimized through strong planning.
  • Coordinate internal teams (shop, engineering, field crews)
  • Resolve project issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and leadership
  • Provide secondary support to the design assistance team, including shop drawing management activities, as needed.

What Success Looks Like

  • Projects delivered on time and within budget
  • Margin protected through strong cost and change order management
  • Fabrication and installation sequences stay aligned
  • Clients see GLP as a problem-solving partner, not just a subcontractor

Qualifications Required

  • Commercial construction project management experience
  • Strong scheduling and coordination capabilities
  • Experience managing budgets and project financials
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Effective communication with clients and field teams
  • Willingness to travel periodically across multiple states as project needs require

Preferred (High Value)

  • Prefabrication or panelized construction experience
  • Building envelope systems (EIFS, panels, curtainwall)
  • BIM coordination (Revit, Navisworks)
  • Experience working across office + field operations

Compensation

We are hiring for this role at multiple levels depending on experience, project complexity managed, and ability to operate independently.

Project Manager II (Developing)

  • $100,000 – $115,000 base salary
  • Typically 3–6 years of experience
  • Manages 1–2 projects with oversight

Project Manager III (Full Ownership)

  • $115,000 – $125,000 base salary
  • Typically 5–10 years of experience
  • Independently manages multiple projects including financial performance

Senior Project Manager (Advanced)

  • $125,000 – $130,000 base salary
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Leads complex projects and contributes to process improvement and operational efficiency

Incentive Compensation

In addition to base salary:

  • Performance-based bonuses tied to overall company performance
  • High performers have the opportunity to significantly increase total compensation

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • Retirement plan with company contribution
  • Paid time off

Important Note on Compensation Placement

Final compensation is based on:

  • Relevant experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
  • Complexity of work previously managed
  • Ability to operate independently from day one

Why This Role Matters

GLP is growing rapidly, and this role is critical to scaling operations. The right candidate will not just manage projects—they will help shape how we deliver prefabrication at a higher level.

Please include a brief summary of the largest and most complex project you have personally managed, including schedule, value, and your role in financial performance.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
