Senior Network Engineer

6+ Months contract to Hire (W2)

Bridgewater, NJ (3 days onsite)

• Strong network engineering fundamentals ; candidates must be able to demonstrate practical knowledge, not just have it on their résumé.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud networking .
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• OSPF
• Cisco routers and switches
• Switching and routing protocols
• Cisco/ACI Fabric
• Meraki
• Cisco ISE
• Ability to troubleshoot and explain networking concepts logically.
• Candidates should be able to back up everything on their résumé during technical interviews.
• Strong documentation skills; documentation is an important part of the role.
• Comfortable working onsite 3 days per week . This is a firm expectation, not something that can be waived later.

Cloud experience

• GCP is preferred because it aligns with the team’s environment.
• AWS or Azure experience is acceptable.
• The manager is not requiring deep expertise in a specific cloud platform. Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and architecture is more important.

Automation / programming

• Candidates with Python, coding, or programming/automation experience are strongly preferred.
• Automation is viewed as an important part of the team’s future direction.

Certifications

• Certifications such as CCIE are a plus.
