Azure SQL Database Developer

TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated Azure SQL Database Developer for a hybrid opportunity in Montvale, NJ

Role: Azure SQL Database Developer

Duration: 7+ Months

Location: Montvale, NJ (Hybrid)

We are looking for a hands-on Azure SQL Database Developer with a strong SQL Server/database development background. This is primarily a database-focused role, not a Full Stack or DBA position.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure SQL, SQL Server, T-SQL, database performance tuning, and database development, and should be comfortable working hands-on with database design, implementation, optimization, and code reviews.

Required Skills:

• Strong relevant database development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL / Azure SQL Database.
• Strong SQL Server experience: SQL Server should be a major part of your database background.
• Excellent T-SQL development skills.
• Strong experience with stored procedures, queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with database design and implementation.
• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Experience with Azure/Azure-based database environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• PowerShell for database automation/deployment.
• Experience with database migrations and schema versioning.
• .NET/C# application exposure.
• Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
