At AfterDrag, every ceramic piece we make has to be worth keeping on a desk, worth photographing, worth gifting. We’re India’s first pop-culture ceramic lifestyle brand, and we need a ceramic product design intern who thinks about objects the way others think about albums: obsessively, with references, and with strong opinions.

What you’ll work on

• Design original glazing patterns and surface illustrations for ceramic ashtrays, coasters, and trays

• Build and iterate on collections across our 5 pop-culture universes (dark fantasy, animation, vintage Bollywood, sci-fi, maximalist)

• Research material finishes, glaze combinations, and texture techniques

• Support the development of limited-edition collector drops

• Create reference mood boards and product presentation decks for each new collection

You’re made for this if you

• Have studied ceramics, industrial design, applied arts, or product design formally or informally

• Can draw a concept in 10 minutes and refine it into a production-ready brief

• Have strong opinions about colour, texture, and finish and can back them up

• Know what a glaze firing does to a colour (or are deeply curious to find out)

• Love pop culture — you have a favourite fictional universe and you’re not shy about it

• Have a portfolio. It doesn’t have to be big, but it has to show taste

• Duration: 1-2 months

• Stipend: ₹5000 /month

• Mode: Remote, occasional travel to Khurja (UP) for kiln visits, expenses covered
